1983 Philadelphia 76ers Championship

This one gives me goosebumps -- I guess it's hearing the voice of someone I was privileged to call friend, Chick Hearn, saying the words, "there he goes, Mo Cheeks on his way to the world championship" -- it brings back all those awesome memories of being a Sixer fan living on the west coast, of going to the Laker games a few times a year and knowing even then that Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Wilkes, Coop etc were a special bunch -- even though I "hated" them -- and remembering how Malone predicted how the playoffs were going to go fo', fo', fo' -- when asked -- he was only off by one game to Milwaukee, otherwise it was total domination over the Celtics and Lakers -- how SWEET that was! Funny, this one makes me miss California and miss Chick (who let me try on the Lakers Championship ring that Kareem presented him at half-court, but that's another story and I'll find a video of it) and miss his wife Marge too -- there years they do fly bye! Hopefully someday the Sixers will rise again!

The Post Game Celebration -- Moses just made me smile and smile and smile....
